Tbilisi to Russia Road Closed

Due to heavy snowfall, the road from Tbilisi to Gudauri and the Russian border has been closed. Currently, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the Gudauri-Mleta section. The restrictions have been imposed due to the risk of avalanches.

Drivers are advised not to head towards the Upper Lars checkpoint until the weather improves. It is worth noting that meteorologists' forecasts are not encouraging, as snowfall may continue for several days.
