Alen Simonian's Spokesperson Refutes Zarokyan's Post

Pedro Zarokyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council, made a post claiming that the company "EuroAsfalt" belongs to the brother of the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonian, namely Karlen Simonian. This statement does not reflect reality. Alen Simonian's spokesperson, Movses Harutyunyan, wrote on Facebook.

"Alen Simonian's brother is not the owner of the mentioned company, and he does not have and has not had any shares in it; he has simply worked at that company previously, left it two years ago, and currently has no connection to that company. I want to add that there is an ongoing legal process related to this topic on the grounds of defamation. Additionally, there is also a publication by the CivilNet fact-checking platform stating that Karlen Simonian is neither the owner nor has he ever been the owner of that company. By the way, ‘EuroAsfalt’ has not been closed; this is another falsehood,” he wrote.

"We call on everyone to refrain from spreading this falsehood; otherwise, we do not rule out the possibility of pursuing legal action once again,” he added.
