Shakira Postpones Concert Due to Illness

Famous singer Shakira has canceled her concert scheduled for Sunday in Lima. The reason is a stomach illness, the singer has announced.

On Sunday afternoon, Shakira declared on Instagram and the X platform that she is in the hospital and that doctors advised against performing. “I am very sad that I will not be able to take the stage today. I was excited to meet my beloved Peruvian audience,” she wrote.

Shakira arrived in Peru on Friday evening, where she was set to perform on Sunday and Monday. This was the second stop of her Latin American tour following Brazil.

Shakira expressed hope for a swift recovery: “I plan to hold this concert as soon as possible. My team and the organizers are already working on a new date,” she said.
