Several Roads Closed and Impassable

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to Karmir Lich and the Amberd Fortress are closed in the Aragatsotn Province. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for heavy vehicles with trailers due to snow (passable only with the use of tire chains).

Snow has been reported in the regions of Ashtarak and Aragats, as well as in Kotayk Province. There are spots of black ice on the roads in the Aragats, Aparan, Ashtarak, and Ashotzk regions, as well as on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

Fog is present in the Ashtarak and Talin regions. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
