Suspect Arrested for Intentionally Hitting 39 People in Munich

A 24-year-old Afghan citizen is suspected of attempting to murder 39 individuals. Meanwhile, as highlighted by Munich prosecutor Gabriel Thilmann, the investigation into the incident is in its "early stages." Specifically, law enforcement officials have seized the suspect's mobile phone to check his contacts.

According to investigation data, the perpetrator legally resided in Germany and owned the vehicle used for the attack. Thilmann emphasized that the crime was premeditated, and the suspect has not shown signs of mental illness. The investigation has not filed a request to place him in a psychiatric clinic.
