Few Cases, But We Have Such Instances: Avanesyan

There are a few cases of unidentified bodies from the 44-day war that have been buried recently. This was stated by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan during a briefing with journalists.

She also noted that those remains which have been identified abroad have not been buried due to parental rejection of the results.

"Few cases like this exist, where burials have been carried out recently. Efforts in this regard continue. We are also working within the framework of the inter-agency commission, each within their authority, to ensure that this process is carried out as gently and correctly as possible, taking into account all related circumstances, so that ultimately, we can bury all the remains," Avanesyan said.

She emphasized that burials have only occurred with the consent of relatives, adding, "This means that the relatives have conducted the burial. In cases where a burial has taken place but the parents or relatives do not accept the results, work is still ongoing. When there are outcomes from such discussions, I will certainly keep you informed within my authority."
