Trial of Armenian Detainees in Baku Continues Today
Today, the military court in Baku will continue the proceedings against representatives of the former military-political leadership of the occupied Republic of Artsakh and civilians on fabricated charges. They are accused of "terrorism," "war crimes," "genocide," and other "offenses." This information has been reported by Azerbaijani media.
In total, 15 Armenians will stand before the court, including former presidents of Artsakh Araik Harutyunyan, Arkadi Ghukasyan, and Bako Sahakyan, former National Assembly president David Ishkhanian, former chief of the Defense Army General Staff David Manukyan, former foreign minister David Babayan, former commander of the Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, and civilians Vasil Beghlaryan, Erik Ghazaryan, David Alaverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Garik Martirosyan, and Melikset Pashayan.
It is noteworthy that the case of former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan is being examined separately.
