Resident of Nor Nork Denied Social Card Due to Ararat Mountain on Signature, Says Naira Zohrabyan
Former MP Naira Zohrabyan wrote on Facebook: "This is beyond ridiculous; I don't even know what to call it. The social card of Armenian citizen Saro Lalayan was denied by the Migration and Citizenship Service's Nor Nork division for an unprecedented reason: there was an image of Mount Ararat on the citizen's signature in the passport. You may ask, 'So what?' And the head of the Nor Nork passport office, after meticulously examining the citizen's 40-year-old signature, stated that 'this is now a problem.' Naturally, the citizen refused to change his 40-year signature for the sake of Aliyev and Erdogan and left without a social card. For the first time, I felt like there was nothing more to say."
Auororanews reached out to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' press service, where they stated that the circumstances are being investigated. They will issue a statement should more details arise.
