If Israel Did Not Exist, Iran Would Have It 10 Years Ago: Netanyahu

Iran could have possessed nuclear weapons 10 years ago if it were not for Israel’s interference. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Fox News.

“There is no doubt that Iran is working towards acquiring nuclear weapons. They would probably have had it 10 years ago if we had not taken various actions to deter them,” he said.

“We slowed down their progress, but we did not stop it completely,” Netanyahu added.

The Axios portal, citing sources, reported that Netanyahu planned to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump during negotiations to supply the Israeli military with weapons capable of destroying Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facilities. Sources from the portal indicated that such a strike could be carried out if diplomatic negotiations regarding the situation surrounding Tehran's nuclear program fail.
