30 Notices to Witnesses of the Incident Involving Anna Hakobyan

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has sent around 30 notices to witnesses of the incident that took place on April 24, 2024, near the eternal flame at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, involving Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and her daughter. This information was reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.

Most of the notified individuals are members of the 'National Democratic Pole', who are being summoned daily for questioning by the Investigative Committee. Law enforcement continues to search for those who shouted 'traitor' and 'land traitor' in the presence of the Prime Minister's wife at Tsitsernakaberd, but while their voices can be heard, they remain unidentified.

It is worth recalling that on April 24, 2024, during the event near the eternal flame at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, members of the 'National Democratic Pole' shouted 'traitor' and 'land traitor' in the presence of Anna Hakobyan and her daughter. Following the incident, seven individuals were detained.

As a result of these actions, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigative Committee’s Malatia-Sebastia division under the first point of part two of Article 329 of the Republic of Armenia Criminal Code, which addresses inciting hatred, discrimination, intolerance, or enmity through public speech. Currently, there is one suspect in this case, 67-year-old Tigran Drmeyan, a member of the Pole, and his case is already in court.
