Donald Trump stated that he intends to issue an executive order that will give TikTok's Chinese parent company more time to find a suitable buyer, as long as the popular social media platform is not permanently banned in the United States.

Trump announced this decision in a post on the Truth social network on Sunday. Google and Apple have removed the TikTok app from their digital stores in compliance with federal law, which requires this action if the company does not sell its American branch to an approved buyer.
