Musk Congratulates on Successful Rocket Launch
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has congratulated his competitor, Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos, on the successful first launch of the New Glenn rocket via X social media platform.
“Congratulations on reaching orbit on the first attempt,” Musk wrote.
The New Glenn rocket was launched today from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station LC-36 in Florida. The rocket carried the Blue Ring experimental device, which can transport up to 3 tons of cargo. The orbital mission is expected to last 6 hours.
Previously, Blue Origin had postponed the first launch of the New Glenn rocket several times.
The New Glenn is a two-stage rocket with a payload capacity of up to 45 tons.
