Armenia Joins Global Coalition to Defeat Islamic State

Before the signing of a strategic partnership document between the Republic of Armenia and the United States in Washington, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Armenia is joining the global coalition to defeat the Islamic State, which contributes to ensuring stability in the Middle East and beyond.

“We greatly appreciate this commitment from Armenia,” said Blinken. He emphasized that this cooperation would aid in creating security in the South Caucasus.
