How Many Tourists Visited Armenia in One Year

In 2024, approximately 2 million 215 thousand tourists visited Armenia, which is a decrease of 2000-3000 compared to the previous year. This was revealed by the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, during a press conference summarizing 2024.

“This year we had about 2 million 215 thousand tourists. This represents a decrease of approximately 7 percent compared to last year’s figures. However, the decline is mainly observed in the number of tourists coming from Russia,” noted Papoyan.

The minister simultaneously mentioned that the number of tourists from India, the UAE, Georgia, Iran, France, China, and South Korea has increased. According to Papoyan, the government is moving in line with its targets, with an aim to have 2.5 million tourists by 2026.
