US Promises $25 Million for Information on Maduro
The United States has raised its reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to $25 million, senior U.S. officials have announced.
“We are increasing the reward for Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of the Interior to $25 million... Additionally, we are adding a new reward of $15 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino,” U.S. officials stated during a press briefing on Venezuela.
Maduro was re-elected on Friday, winning the elections held last July. As noted by representatives of the outgoing U.S. administration, the United States does not recognize the results of these elections.
