Major Fire in Russia: Acetone Production Plant Burns Down

A fire has engulfed an acetone production plant in the city of Gatchina, Russia. A fuel leak occurred at the site. This information was reported by 'SHOT'. The fire has been assessed as a level 2 complexity incident, with visible flames at the scene. There are currently no reports of casualties.

Around 07:10 AM Yerevan time, deafening explosions were heard. About 20-30 minutes later, the sky turned red-orange from the flames. Firefighters have succeeded in protecting the special parking lot of the Road Police, which is located near the plant. The facility is less than 50 meters from the factory.

The area affected by the fire has reached nearly 2000 square meters. Approximately 50 rescuers and 12 units of equipment are combating the blaze. A fire train has also been dispatched to the emergency site. No information is currently available regarding injuries or the causes of the fire.
