Who Will Replace Alen Simonyan During His Absence

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has signed a directive regarding his upcoming absence. In accordance with Article 6, Clause 2, Point 3 of the Constitutional Law on the Regulations of the National Assembly, Article 163 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, and Article 10, Clause 1 of the Law on Guarantees of Activities of Members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the following has been ordered:

1. I will be on my annual leave from January 8 to January 14, 2025.
2. From January 8 to January 10, 2025, the temporary performance of the duties of the President of the National Assembly will be entrusted to the First Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, and for the remainder of the period, to the Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan.
3. The Chief Secretary of the National Assembly, D. Arakelyan, is instructed to ensure the appropriate payment is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
