Total Volume of Military Aid Provided to Ukraine Exceeds $126 Billion, Pentagon Reports
Since the start of the Russian special military operation, the total volume of military aid provided to Ukraine by the United States and its allies has exceeded $126 billion, according to a senior official from the U.S. Department of Defense.
“From February 24, 2022, to date, the United States, allies, and partners have provided over $126 billion in support for Ukraine’s security,” the official stated during a press briefing.
Russia believes that the supply of weapons to Ukraine is obstructing resolution efforts, directly involving NATO countries in the conflict and 'playing with fire.' Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.
According to him, the U.S. and NATO are directly involved in the conflict by not only supplying weapons but also training personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin has stated that supplying weapons to Ukraine from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have negative repercussions.
