Blinken Condemns Trump's Desire
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken referred to Donald Trump's idea of incorporating Greenland into the United States as not a particularly good one and expressed confidence that it would not happen.
"The idea that has been put forward regarding Greenland is clearly not a good idea, but it is perhaps more important and clear that it will not happen," he told reporters during a visit to France.
According to the Secretary of State, there should not be too much time spent discussing such plans proposed by the elected American leader.
We recall that earlier it was reported that at a press conference held at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump stated that Denmark should cede Greenland to the U.S. in order to defend the "free world" against threats from China and Russia, and he did not rule out the possibility of using military force to establish control over the island.
