Oil Found on the Floor of the Black Sea

A small amount of oil has been discovered on the floor of the Black Sea near Anapa, according to a report from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. This finding does not pose a threat, as stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region.

"On December 30, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM (Moscow time), we observed a 40-kilometer section of Anapa's water area. A small quantity of oil has been found at the bottom. Partial patches have been identified, but they are insignificant and do not present a danger," the report mentioned.

The operational headquarters clarified that the water area was surveyed 100 meters from the shore. The coastline of the Krasnodar region, affected by the oil, has been divided into segments assigned to all municipalities in the region, each of which has dispatched at least 100 personnel to address the aftermath. According to the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, the main focus has been directed towards the Krasnodar region of Crimea, and the effects of the leak will be eliminated by the start of the tourist season.
