Azizyan Discusses Air Pollution Issues

Levon Azizyan, the director of the Hydro-meteorological Monitoring Center, has addressed the issue of air pollution. “The situation is unfavorable, and there are problems,” he stated.

Azizyan also mentioned that the EU is willing to assist. When asked whether next year it will be possible, as in several other countries, to see the air pollution status in each administrative area via mobile phones, and whether masks should be worn depending on the situation, Azizyan replied, “The new equipment will be online and connected to a mobile application. Every citizen who downloads the application will have access to real-time data from the monitoring stations.” According to Azizyan, information will be updated every 10 to 15 minutes.
