Snowstorm Expected: Weather Forecast for the Coming Days
Due to the penetration of a cyclone from the Mediterranean region, a snowstorm is expected in mountainous areas, with low horizontal visibility. On December 28, significant precipitation is anticipated in many regions of the Republic of Armenia, and during the night of the 29th, individual areas will experience snowfall in mountainous and pre-mountainous zones. There are also expectations of blizzards and low horizontal visibility in some mountainous regions.
On December 29 during the day, as well as on the 30th, 31st, and January 1st, dry weather is expected. This information is provided by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The wind will be from the west at a speed of 2-4 m/s, with local strong winds expected on December 28, reaching speeds of 14-18 m/s in certain areas.
In Yerevan, rain is expected on the night of December 28 and 29, with snowfall in higher elevations and sleet in lower areas. Dry weather is also expected in the capital on December 29 during the day, and on the 30th, 31st, and January 1st.
During the day on December 28, temperatures in the capital will range from 3 to 5 degrees Celsius, and in the evening hours, temperatures will register between +1 and +3 degrees Celsius.
