Fog and Black Ice: Road Conditions in Armenia
There are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the Republic of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass (snow, fog) is closed to trucks with trailers, while the Saralanj-Zanger road is difficult to pass. This information is reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Artashavan-Tsilkar road is closed for trucks. The Spitak serpentine and the Stepanavan-Vanadzor, Vanadzor-Dilijan roads are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.
Snow is present in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, and Talin (fog), as well as in the cities of Dilijan, Gavar, and Sisian, and in the villages of Lanjanist, Lusashogh, Lanjarr, and sections such as Meghru Sar, Zanger-Tghuk, and the Tigranashen serpentines (black ice).
Black ice is also present in the Saralanj-Zanger and Chayn's serpentine sections and on the roads in the Syunik region. There is fog on the Yerevan-Sevan road, particularly in the villages of Mayakovski, Balagovit, Jrvazh, and Dzoraghbyur. Blizzards are reported on the Aparan-Nigavan road, in the Aragats region, and in Tsilkar village.
