Serious Problems Await Us: NATO Issues a Warning
Edita
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has emphasized the necessity of increasing defense spending, strengthening the defense industry, and expanding production capabilities. He pointed out that the North Atlantic Alliance is currently not producing enough military equipment to defend itself in the long term.
“If we do not increase defense expenditures, we will have serious problems in four to five years,” Rutte stated.
At the same time, he noted that Russia is unlikely to attack NATO territories at present. “There is no need to be alarmed now, but I am concerned about the long term,” the Secretary General added.
