19-Year-Old Girl's Phone Stolen on Public Transport

On December 19, a 47-year-old woman contacted the police’s operational management center in the Armavir region, reporting that her 19-year-old daughter’s iPhone had been stolen on public transport.

On the same day, the 19-year-old girl, who filed a report at the Vagharshapat Community Police Department, stated that while returning to Vagharshapat on the Yerevan-Ejmiadzin public transport, she noticed her iPhone 16 Pro Max had been stolen from her pocket.

Officers from the Vagharshapat Community Police Department conducted operational-search measures and determined that the theft was committed by a 44-year-old man residing in Yerevan. He was discovered on December 20 on Abovyan Street in Yerevan, arrested, and transferred to the Vagharshapat Police Department. A personal search revealed the stolen mobile phone in his pocket. The 44-year-old man was presented with the documents prepared by the police at the Vagharshapat investigative department.
