Video: Fight on Yerevan-Moscow Flight
Transportation police have arrested a passenger at Vnukovo Airport who caused a commotion on a Yerevan-Moscow flight and assaulted a flight attendant. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs' transport department.
According to the statement, "The passenger who organized the disorder on the Yerevan-Moscow flight has been detained by the transport police at the capital's Vnukovo Airport."
As clarified by the department, an alert was received in the duty section about an inadequate passenger arriving on a flight from Yerevan to Moscow who was behaving aggressively. The transport police arrived at the flight area, where crew members pointed out the passenger, who was waving his arms during the flight, hitting one of the flight attendants on the head, and ignoring the crew's warnings.
A criminal case has been opened against the man under the first part of Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code (hooliganism committed with the use of violence in air transport). The sanctions of this article provide for imprisonment for up to five years.
