Over 270,000 Migrants Deported from the U.S. in One Year

U.S. authorities have deported over 270,000 migrants in the past year, according to CNN. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has removed 271,400 migrants in the last fiscal year,” the channel reports, citing figures from the agencies.

The report notes that this is the highest number in the past decade. “Most of the deported individuals entered the U.S. illegally through Mexico. People have been deported to 200 different countries,” the channel states.

The report covers the period from October 1 of this year to September 30.
