What is the Situation at the Upper Lars Crossing?

The Russian Embassy in Armenia’s customs attaché Vahan Hakobyan informed Auroranews that the road leading to the Upper Lars crossing has been closed again for heavy vehicles.

“Due to the snowfall in the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, the Khach Mountain Pass is closed for freight transport in both directions,” he noted. “The road remains open for light passenger vehicles.”
