New Details on the Death of Igor Kirilov: Arrest Made
The individual responsible for the terrorist attack against General Lieutenant Igor Kirilov, head of the Chemical Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, has been detained. It has been revealed that he is a 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.
The perpetrator of the attack against General Lieutenant Igor Kirilov was recruited by Ukrainian special services, the report also states.
"The terrorist has confessed that he was recruited by the Ukrainian special services. On their orders, he arrived in Moscow, received a powerful homemade explosive device, and placed it on an electric scooter parked near the entrance of the general's building, where it was fitted with a camera and transmitted live to the organizers in Dnipro city (Dnipropetrovsk). When Kirilov exited the building, he remotely activated the homemade explosive device," the FSB clarified.
The suspect committed the crime at the behest of Ukrainian intelligence and was promised $100,000 for his efforts.
As a reminder, the explosion that occurred on December 17 in southeastern Moscow resulted in the deaths of General Lieutenant Igor Kirilov and his aide.
