Former South Korean President to Be Questioned
Investigators in South Korea plan to question the ousted President Yoon Seok-youl in court on December 18, having already sent him a second notification. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency.
The Constitutional Court is set to determine the legality of Yoon's impeachment. If it is found that the decision does not comply with the Constitution, he will be reinstated in his position.
The special prosecutor's team, which is investigating the insurrection case, has stated that a notice has been issued to the president, requiring him to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office for questioning. This was scheduled to take place yesterday, on December 15. The head of state’s office has confirmed receipt of the document; however, Yoon did not attend the questioning.
