According to information provided by the press service of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, it has been revealed during recent operations that Azerbaijani citizens Shahmurov Fakhraddin, Muradov Jalal, Babaev Kamran, and others have formed a criminal group. They prepared for acts of sabotage against state institutions with the aim of committing serious and particularly serious crimes against the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organizing secret meetings, and creating various closed groups on social media.

During a secret meeting involving a foreign citizen, plans were announced for the development of a flag for the criminal group, and a program and conditions for future criminal acts were prepared. These plans were presented to the chosen leader of the organized criminal group, Fakhraddin Shahmurov.

In order to undermine the country's defense and economic security, Fakhraddin Shahmurov, along with other members of the gang, developed a sabotage plan to seize the customs checkpoint on Azerbaijan's state border, taking hostages among the employees of the State Customs Committee and other personnel stationed there. The planned criminal acts were successfully thwarted as a result of the measures taken. Azerbaijani media reports this information.

Fakhraddin Shahmurov, Jalal Muradov, and Kamran Babaev have been charged with crimes.
