EU Countries Unable to Impose Sanctions Against Georgia
EU countries have been unable to reach an agreement on the introduction of individual sanctions against Georgia, stated EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas during a press conference following a meeting of EU foreign ministers. This was reported by TASS.
“Unfortunately, we need unity to impose sanctions, which we still do not have,” she said. Kallas confirmed that Hungary and Slovakia have blocked individual sanctions against Georgia's leadership. Luxembourg and several other countries have also opposed sanctions against the ‘Georgian Dream’ party.
