I Am Ready to Become the President of Syria, Says Syrian Opposition Leader

The leader of the armed groups that came to power in Damascus, Ahmad al-Sharah (known by the nickname Abu Muhammad al-Julani), has announced that he is ready to run for the presidency of Syria if requested by the citizens of the republic or his inner circle. This was reported by TASS.

“I will announce my candidacy for the presidency of the Syrian (Arab) Republic if the citizens or people around me ask me to do so,” his words were cited by the Al Araby TV channel.
