Starlink Receives License to Operate in Armenia, Says Mikayel Hayrapetyan
On December 4 and December 13, the decisions made during meetings at the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) allowed for the applications of Starlink AM LLC to be approved in the territory of Armenia. This was announced by Mikayel Hayrapetyan, Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry.
1. To grant permission for the operation of a public electronic communication network.
2. To grant permission to use radio frequency spectra on a secondary basis for the organization of a public electronic communication network operated by global satellite communication systems.
With the licensing and permissions granted, we are now entering the testing phase, which we hope will be completed in the coming months, and the service will be fully operational.
Starlink is a global satellite communication service developed by Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, in 2002. The aim of the Starlink system is to provide free internet access to users worldwide through a large number of satellites placed in low Earth orbit.
