Argentinian President Receives Italian Citizenship
The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, has received Italian citizenship, reports the newspaper Messaggero, citing government sources.
The announcement is expected to be made during Milei's upcoming visit to Rome, where he will meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday evening and participate in a Saturday event for Meloni's Brothers of Italy party.
Previously, Milei has stated, as reported by Messaggero, that he considers himself three-quarters Italian, attributing this to his grandfather who emigrated from the southern region of Calabria to Argentina in the early 20th century.
