Aghazaryan Appeals to Prosecutor’s Office: Details
The independent MP of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Aghazaryan, has appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office to clarify how his personal data has ended up in the hands of third parties. Aghazaryan shared this information with Sputnik Armenia.
Recall that on December 4, Hovik Aghazaryan reported that various materials and messages from his mobile phone, which were with an investigator as part of a criminal case, had reached Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, despite assurances from law enforcement that they would only review materials relevant to the case. Prime Minister Pashinyan stated in the National Assembly that law enforcement encountered information that posed threats to state security when they seized the MP's phone, including data related to counterintelligence.
He assured that the investigation had an obligation to carry out its tasks, including reporting the contents of the phone to its superiors, specifically to the Prime Minister of Armenia.
“At my request, my lawyer has appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office to initiate legal proceedings to understand how my personal data from the Anti-Corruption Committee has reached other individuals,” Aghazaryan noted.
