Only Vladimir Putin and I Remain, Says Erdoğan

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that there are only two leaders left on the planet: himself and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He expressed this viewpoint during a conversation with youth in Gaziantep province.

“Currently, there are only two experienced leaders in the world: myself and Vladimir Putin... I have been in office for 22 years. Almost the same duration for Mr. Putin. The rest have all departed. And we wish for our dialogue to continue. It's important to keep the politics going. For example, after Chancellor Angela Merkel left, politics in Germany came to an end,” Erdoğan stated.

He also mentioned that he holds great respect for former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. “His degree of respect towards us was entirely different, and he was truly a good leader,” he added.
