Drivers Dismissed Amid Strike, City Hall Reports

Dear Yerevan residents, esteemed colleagues, I would like to inform you that due to the strike organized by public transport drivers today, as of now, 18 drivers have been dismissed. This was reported on the Facebook page of Haik Kostanyan, spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan.

It should be added that since early this morning, bus drivers have announced a strike. In several administrative districts of Yerevan, people have been waiting for public transport for hours, but to no avail. The city hall also reports that according to the law, drivers were required to notify about the strike in advance (14 days earlier), which has not been done. They assure that these actions will be assessed within the framework of labor legislation and that they will appeal to the relevant authorities to give appropriate legal assessment to the created situation.
