When Are New Bus Routes Expected to Start?

171 new 8.6-meter buses and 15 trolleybuses have already arrived in Armenia, as stated by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan during a working meeting of the Yerevan City Hall.

"The launch of the bus routes is planned for no later than January 1, 2025, while the 15 trolleybuses will start operating today," Grigoryan noted.

For his part, Mayor Tigran Avinyan remarked, "Dear Yerevan residents, today we are launching our new trolleybuses that we imported last month, and from today we have implemented the payment method using bank cards in our buses and trolleybuses. However, this feature is not yet available in the metro, and the mobile NFC payment option is also not yet operational. But soon these features will be completed, and you will be able to use your physical bank cards equipped with NFC technology, allowing for contactless payment with the verifier."
