When the Winter Draft and Discharge Will Take Place Has Been Announced

According to a government decision, the winter draft for 2024 will take place from November 25, 2024, to January 31, 2025, inclusive. This decision is included in the agenda of today's meeting of the government of Armenia.

It is noted that during this period, mandatory military and alternative service will be required of male citizens who turn 18 years old by December 31, 2024, or whose deferral expires during this timeframe.

Women who voluntarily express a desire to serve in the regular military service will also be drafted, along with male citizens who hold a special status established by law.

The discharge of citizens who have completed mandatory military service will take place from January 9 to January 31, 2025, inclusive. It is also reported that during the same timeframe, citizens who have completed alternative service will be discharged as well.

To organize the draft, republican and regional draft commissions will be established, as well as a central medical commission involving relevant specialists.
