Netanyahu's Office Comments on ICC's Decision
The decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has been characterized by Dmitry Gendelman, an advisor to the Prime Minister, as an indication that the court supports a war against the Jewish state. This was reported by TASS.
“Today, the ICC has decided to ignore the evidence and arguments presented by Israel, effectively siding with the Iranian regime that has unleashed a regional war against Israel,” Gendelman stated.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that the ICC had issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant in connection with events occurring in the Gaza Strip. The documents specify that the warrants were issued for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed between October 8, 2023, and May 20, 2024. The court also rejected Israel's arguments attempting to dispute the ICC's jurisdiction.
