Video: Black Paint Thrown on Chairman of Georgia's CEC
During a meeting, the Chairman of Georgia's Central Election Commission, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, had black paint thrown on him. This was done by David Kirtadze, one of the leaders of the opposition "United National Movement," while the results of the parliamentary elections were being summarized. A scuffle ensued afterwards.
Meanwhile, a protest was held in front of the CEC building. It is worth noting that the ruling party, "Georgian Dream," has won the parliamentary elections. Both the country's president and the opposition have refused to acknowledge the voting results and have announced protests.
