Israel Destroys Highly Secret Nuclear Center in Iran, Media Reports

The Axios portal claims, citing its sources, that the Israeli strike on Iran at the end of October resulted in the destruction of a highly classified nuclear weapons research center located in the city of Parchin.

Previously, Reuters reported that Israel had attacked the Parchin military complex and a ballistic missile production facility near Tehran at the end of October. The reports indicate that three buildings involved in solid fuel production, as well as a storage facility, were destroyed in the strike on Parchin.

At the same time, CBS News, citing its sources, reported that the Israeli attack on Iran was limited to military targets and did not extend to nuclear or oil facilities.

“The Israeli attack on Iran at the end of October destroyed an operational highly secret research center for nuclear weapons,” writes Axios, referencing three U.S. officials, along with one current and one former Israeli official.

A former official from Tel Aviv stated that the strike allegedly destroyed complex equipment used to produce plastic explosives that surround uranium in nuclear devices and are essential for detonating uranium.

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated during negotiations with the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, that Tehran does not create and will not create nuclear weapons.
