What Conditions Surrounded the Discovery of a Soldier's Body: Details
On November 13, at approximately 09:20, the body of Narek Khachatur Grigoryan, a soldier of the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit N, was found hanging in the disciplinary battalion of the Ministry of Defense's Internal Protection Department.
The Investigative Committee reports that, on the same day, a criminal case was initiated at the sixth military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under part 1 of Article 522 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. An investigative group has been formed.
“During the preliminary investigation, an examination of the scene was conducted, an external examination of the body was performed, more than twenty individuals have been interrogated, and the device containing the disciplinary battalion's surveillance recordings along with relevant documents has been seized. More than twenty expert examinations have been appointed, including a forensic examination of the body. Instructions regarding operational-investigative measures have been given to the investigative bodies. The criminal proceedings have been transferred to the Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Military Investigative Main Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. The preliminary investigation continues,” the statement reads.
