VIDEO: Fraud in the U.S. Involving Bear Costumes; Armenians Arrested
Four individuals have been arrested in Los Angeles for attempting to carry out attacks on their own vehicles while dressed in bear costumes, fraudulently obtaining nearly $142,000 from insurance companies. This was reported by the California Department of Insurance.
Ruben Tamrazian, Ararat Chirkinyan, Vahe Muradkhanian, and Alfia Tsukerman informed insurance companies that a bear had damaged their two Mercedes vehicles and a Rolls Royce, providing video footage from their cameras. Investigators determined that a person in a bear costume appeared in all three videos, a conclusion also reached by a biologist who examined the footage at the request of law enforcement.
Following this, a search was conducted at the defendants' residence, where a bear costume was discovered. They have been charged with fraud and conspiracy related to insurance.
