Large Presence of Various Law Enforcement Agencies Expected: FAF Statement
Following the recent poor performances of the Armenian national team and subsequent events, there have been numerous calls and sentiments among Armenian fans to boycott the national team's games, as noted in the statement from the FAF fan movement.
“Our request and position is to always support the national team, regardless of the results, and to address the issues of the team separately, in this case, after the departure of the current leadership of the HFF. The HFF has done its utmost to minimize interest in the upcoming match, either through various means or their absence. Currently, we have one of the worst ticket sales figures in the last few years, while, at the same time, a large presence of various law enforcement agencies is expected at the match against the Faroe Islands upon the HFF's urging. The national team’s game has not been and cannot be a platform for disorder. We condemn any such manifestations and call upon law enforcement agencies not to resort to any provocative actions against fans before, during, and after the game.
Dear fans of the Armenian national team, do not boycott the upcoming match, purchase your tickets for tomorrow’s game, and do not allow the stadium to only reflect the presence of fan clubs. Let’s come to the stadium to support our national team and reaffirm our demand for resignation from the stadium.
