VIDEO: Armenian Military Budget for 2025 to Exceed This Year's Allocation

The draft budget for 2025 envisions an allocation of over 664.7 billion drams to the Ministry of Defense. This announcement was made by the main rapporteur, Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan, during the discussion of the 2025 budget project in the National Assembly.

“For the Ministry of Defense in 2025, 664.7 billion drams is planned, which is an increase of 110 billion drams compared to the approved budget for 2024. We will continue to increase expenditures aimed at ensuring the technical capacity of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and meeting the requirements for combat readiness and sustainability of the army,” said the minister.
