Inadmissible: Dairy Production Activities Suspended

The activities of a dairy production facility owned by individual entrepreneur Hovhannes Veranyan in Yerevan’s Nor Arajes neighborhood, specifically 43rd street, have been suspended following an inspection conducted by the inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.

The inspection revealed significant violations of sanitary and hygienic norms, leading to the conclusion that the production of food under these conditions is inadmissible.

Among the identified violations:

  • The facility was not designed, constructed, or arranged in a way that eliminates the intrusion of animals, rodents, and insects.
  • Conditions for the storage of raw materials, packaging materials, and food were not ensured.
  • Equipment, tools, utensils, and containers in direct contact with food had not undergone proper cleaning and disinfection.
  • The facility was storing unused equipment for food production, including cleaning and disinfecting agents.
  • The floors, walls, and surfaces of the production buildings were not made from waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials.
  • The ceiling did not prevent the accumulation of dirt, the emergence of mold, or the possibility of particle drop.
  • No changing room was provided for the staff.
  • The door to the restroom opened into the production area.

A deadline has been set for addressing these violations.
