China Respects American Choice, Says Foreign Ministry

China respects the choice of the American people and congratulates Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential elections, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.

“We respect the choice of the American people and congratulate Mr. Trump on his election as President of the United States,” the ministry stated in a public announcement on its website.

Earlier, NBC News reported that Donald Trump plans to hold a celebratory rally soon.
