Maya Sandu Wins Moldova's Presidential Elections

The current President of Moldova, Maya Sandu, is leading in the second round of the presidential elections with 55.04%. Her competitor, Alexander Stoianoglo, has garnered 44.96% of the votes. This information was reported by TASS.

It is noted that these figures are based on the preliminary results of the voting published by Moldova's Central Election Commission (CEC) after processing 98.92% of the protocols. Votes from several foreign polling stations are yet to be counted.

Within Moldova, 100% of the protocols have been processed. According to the CEC, residents within the country mainly voted for Stoianoglo, who received 51.19% of the votes. He won in 19 out of 36 districts. Sandu, for her part, has 48.81%.

Meanwhile, after processing 89.18% of the protocols from foreign polling stations, Sandu is in the lead with 82.33%. Stoianoglo has 17.67%.
